[EN] CRISTIAN SULSER is a Director, Writer and Producer for Film, Television and Theater. He was born and raised in Switzerland, where he completed his primary education with a bachelor in teaching. After being trained as director and producer for SWISS NATIONAL TELEVISION SRF, he got a diploma for screenwriting from the SCHOOL FOR SCREENWRITING BERLIN and from the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA (UCLA). He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE CONSERVATORY (AFI) in Los Angeles.

Cristian started off acting on stage in his teens. Early on, he was writing, composing and directing his own productions. He became assistant director at the OPERA IRELAND, OPÉRA-THÉÂTRE DE METZ and the LISMORE OPERA FESTIVAL. In Switzerland, Cristian was also in front of the camera. He was the host for NICKELODEON SWITZERLAND and created and starred in the comedy show RATPACK for the Swiss National Television. Later on, he moved to Los Angeles to become the assistant for television producer Gail Berman at REGENCY TELEVISION, making his first steps in development (MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, ROSWELL...) He then worked as assistant director in Los Angeles (PERSHING POINT HOTEL) before he started directing his own films.

His films SCRABBLE and GOODBYE VESNA have been screened at over 150 international film festivals and won over 35 AWARDS and he has been awarded the STUDENT ACADAMY AWARD as a writer. His television work in Switzerland has been awarded two PRIX WALOS and a SWISS TELEVISION AWARD. With his production company he directed, wrote and produced several television shows for SWISS NATIONAL TELEVISION SRF. Cristian is also a story consultant and lecturer for writing and directing. Since 2019, he is Head of Fiction and Creative Producer for the swiss production company B&B ENDEMOL SHINE.
